We have heard that “purity is the force.” One element of power is transparency. One – especially a guru — who sees a transparent continuum between himself, the bona fide sampradaya, and the Lord, is powerful. This contrasts with the modern notion of power, which tends to equate power with might and leads to the notion that “might makes right.”
