We have heard that Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati used to declare himself the servant of his disciples. Here is a quote of Srila Prabhupada that supports this: “Our Guru Maharaja, when we offered obeisances, he used to return me, daso ’smi: “I am your servant.” He used to return me this way, ‘I am your servant.’ ” (Spoken in New York City on 21 November 1966).
