Another great ‘meditation’ from Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura (from his Will) is: “If we want to follow the path of true auspiciousness, then we should give up countless opinions of people, and hear the words of the Vedas only.” My understanding of this is that ‘giving up’ here does not mean ‘not knowing,’ but ‘not being persuaded by’ and ‘not adopting’. And I understand ‘following the path,’ to mean ‘accepting fully into one’s heart.’
