A fallacy for many ISKCON members is to act as if they are God’s gift to the world, and in the same vein, many think and act as if ISKCON is ‘God’s gift to the world.’ Nevertheless, Srila Prabhupada exuded confidence that Krsna consciousness would change the world for the better, even if it took a long time. I remember a saying in this connection that was attributed to the famed anthropologist Margaret Mead. It went something like this: “Never doubt the ability of a small group of committed people to change the world. That’s about the only way it has ever happened.”
