Generally speaking, we think of heroism as linked to outstanding action in war and sports, but the Srimad Bhagavatam talks about heroism in a different light. To wit, “Real heroism is to conquer one’s natural tendency to enjoy material life, and reality is seeing the Supreme Personality of Godhead everywhere.” (Srimad Bhagavatam, 11.19.36-39)
