Irreducible complexity.

Part of “intelligent design theory,” a modern counterpoint to Darwinian evolutionary theory, is what some biologists call “irreducible complexity.” I’m far from a scientist but I wonder if the `DNA map’ for a monarch butterfly can account for its metamorphosis from crawling caterpillar, to cocoon/chrysalis to a beautiful flying insect. Also, the eating habits of the caterpillar and the butterfly are vastly different.
