There is a verse in the Adi Purana, which declares: ‘Those who are My direct devotees are actually not My devotees, but those who are the devotees of My servant are factually My devotees.’ (Lord Krsna to Arjuna). In the ninth canto of Srimad Bhagavatam, Srila Prabhupada writes this: “Following the instructions of a devotee is more valuable than following the instructions of the Supreme Personality of Godhead directly.? (9.4.63/purport).
