When Krsna says “I am the Taste of Water” (BGAII, 7.4), one can get an inkling of how one has to throw off the taste of other beverages as impure – sweet and delectable as they may be to our materially-oriented senses and mind. Water is known for its purity, and developing a love for THAT pure taste is a hint of the spiritual world and the nature of transcendental taste.
