In a lecture on Janmastami Srila Prabhupada once said that Janmastami is always going on, that Lord Krsna is always taking birth somewhere. He compared Krsna’s visibility to the sun. The sun is apparently absent from one place, but it is shining and visible in another – always. So the sun keeps on shining. It is never dark.
