In a lecture, Srila Prabhupada explained that although the most wondrous thing in the world is our conviction that we won’t die (Yudhisthira’s answer to Yamaraja), there is another “side” to this, which is that we seek, and are aware of our own natural immortality, because the soul is immortal. In other words, not being able to conceive of death is a symptom of our immortality.
