In Denver, in 1976 Prabhupada spoke out vehemently against an Indian who allowed himself to be called God. Prabhupada was pictured and quoted in Time Magazine shortly after saying: “This is challenge, that `I shall kick on his face in public, and if he is God, let him punish me.’ “
