In Hyderabad in 1974, Srila Prabhupada took the part of Christians who said that they too loved God because they went to church regularly. After stumping his disciples for nearly half an hour, one finally made the comment that Christians don’t follow their own teachings. Then Srila Prabhupada said, “Here you have come to the real point. Here you have come to the real point. Here he has come to the point. That is the point. If you love God, then why you disobey His order? That means you do not love God. That is the real point. If you love God, then why you are disobeying His order? That is my charge, first thing. God says, `Thou shalt not kill,’ but why you are killing?”
