Carl Gustav Jung, the famous psychologist, spoke a number of pithy epigrams, some of which border on Krsna consciousness. One of them was this: “The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” How is this related to Krsna consciousness? Well isn’t our understanding that each of us has an individual relationship with the Supreme Lord, and that He often acts according to the desire of His pure devotee. For example, He drove Arjuna’s chariot where Arjuna ordered, and Arjuna’s consciousness was transformed by reacting with the Lord. Of course this quote is more relevant to our relationships with devotees (guhyam akhyati prcchati), revelations of the heart.
