With a healthy dose of suspicion and pessimism toward the material world, one can enter the spirit of renunciation of it and enjoy the bliss of Krsna consciousness. In this way a devotee is “in the world, but not OF it.” Those who are constantly in the mood or the “spirit” of enjoyment, are taking pleasure in an illusory happiness.
