The conditioned soul may be thought of in the way we think of air conditioning or hair conditioning. In air and hair conditioning the atoms of the air or hair don’t change their constitution, but they are nonetheless different. A conditioned soul acts against its higher nature and is therefore different from its normal, natural, or liberated state.
