In more than one lecture Srila Prabhupada quoted Sankaracaya (who lived for only 32 years) as portraying the material world as made up of hankerers and lamenters – young boys lusting after young girls, and young girls lusting after young boys. Once Srila Prabhupada said of Sankaracarya: “He was incarnation of Lord Siva; therefore nobody can be compared with him.”
