Botanical scientists, horticulturalists and those who hang their washing out to dry are aware of the drying power of the wind. This energy is indirectly described in the Gita, which tells us that the drying attribute of wind cannot affect the soul. The Bhagavad-gita As It Is states: “The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind.” (BGAII 2.23)
