Srila Prabhupada uses the example of a frog in the well as a metaphor that shows how narrow-minded most people are. Even those who profess to be open minded - researchers, scientists, philosophers, and various academics - are really closed-minded. This is particularly noticeable when it comes others' points of view. Also, when it comes to God, vegetarianism, and `eastern' thought, one is truly amazed at how deep prejudice can run.
