Grass is Greener

There’s an English saying that goes like this: “The grass is greener on the other side of the fence.” This old saying made me think of the “new crows” saying that Srila Prabhupada used on one occasion. He compared Indians coming to the West for only fame and fortune to the “new crows.” Apparently crows – at least in India – routinely populate garbage heaps, such that when a new pile of garbage arrives they fly to the new one, presumably unloaded from a rubbish truck. If you’re of dark skin reading this, please don’t think I think dark skin is crow-like, I’m remembering what I heard Srila Prabhupada once say.
