It's been reported that Srila Prabhupada once went for a morning walk over the Manhattan Bridge, in New York City. When he was in the center of the main span of the suspension bridge, which is well over a kilometer in length across the East River, he pointed with his walking stick to clumps of grass growing between the concrete flagstones (tiles). He asked his disciples who were walking with him, what this meant. On not hearing satisfactory answers, Srila Prabhupada said that the fact grass was growing there was proof that living entities are contained in raindrops.
