These days political leaders often talk of “rights” – rights of children, rights of gays, rights of the economically challenged, and rights of many other social groupings. Prabhupada sometimes quotes Chanakya Pandit’s atmavat sarva-bhuteshu: that one should see all living beings on the same level as oneself.
