While lecturing in Calcutta, Srila Prabhupada told of a jester named Gopal Bhan who was intimate with the king. When Gopal was only three feet away from the monarch, the ruler asked him, “Gopal, what’s the difference between you and an ass?” Gopal replied, “About three feet.”
