Initiation in our movement is just a beginning. While some think a spiritual name is more important than a spiritual life, it should be remembered that the word “initiation” means “beginning.” It is not simply a “rite of passage.” Vaisnavas should take it to mean the start of something very important, a new adventure, through, and in which, one becomes more deeply submerged in the consciounsness of bhakti.
