When ancient Navadvipa was discovered, the people of modern Kuliya, Navadvipa, became very envious. Even though Jagannatha Das Babaji emphatically announced Sridhama Mayapura the birthplace of Caitanya Mahaprabhu, some residents of Navadvipa claim He was born in their city.
