Jayapataka Maharaja is well known for his phrase, "United Nations of the Spiritual World." Srila Prabhupada has indicated that the United Nations is a travesty because the number of flags outside its New York Secretariat is increasing. It's ironic that amidst so much praise of globalization, the world is become more fragmented. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's International Data Base, updated on Oct 5, 2000, there were 227 nations existing on earth. Real unity is possible only in the spiritual world.
