Conjugal attraction between Krsna and his confidential devotees is the highest form of transcendental love. In the material world, sexual attraction between female and male humans is what keeps them ensconced within material nature. Therefore, what’s highest in the spiritual world is often considered the lowest (or most insidious) form of maya, because it keeps us bound in the material world, even if intellectually we know better.
