In the West, Srila Prabhupada sometimes went to great pains to establish that ISKCON was primarily educational. At the home of Ksirdakasayi Visnu, he said, “… this Krsna consciousness movement it is not actually a so-called religious movement, but it is an educational movement.” (July 25, 1976)
