It’s ironic that the western public tends to view us as left-wing and marginal, a radical alternative. In fact ISKCON members are more right wing, conservative, and given to authoritative structures than most ‘democracies.’ Of course, this perception is largely that of the ‘older’ generation, but things do tend to filter down. This mistaken perception presents a challenge to our preaching.
